Welcome to Malibu Horizon Treatment Center

Malibu Horizon offers the most effective, research-based alcohol and drug treatment. Our clinical team is a handpicked group of caring, experienced, professionals, who are unmatched in the industry. Every aspect of Malibu Horizon's program has been researched and proven to work. By focusing on the root cause of an individual patient's issues, our staff is able to identify and carefully address the core patterns that have caused a continual return to self destructive behaviors.

Individualized Treatment
Each client is treated as an individual with their own unique, customized, treatment plan. Every client receives a significant amount of 1-to-1 therapy using both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Enhancement Therapy. Our comprehensive, clinically-based approach, blends together a variety of the "best practices" in substance abuse treatment today.

Non 12-Step Program

Malibu Horizon is an upscale, non 12 step program. We realize AA and the 12 step model are not for everyone. Our clients frequently consist of very intelligent people, many of whom come here for treatment because they have not found success in 12 step programs. Malibu Horizon is in no way opposed to the 12 steps. In fact, we offer patients the opportunity to attend AA meetings, if they choose.

Depression, Bipolar, ADD, Anxiety

Malibu Horizon is a leader in the successful treatment of dual diagnosis. Dual diagnosis occurs when a person suffers from alcohol and/or drug abuse as well as a psychological condition, including Depression, Bi-polar, Panic or Anxiety. Both conditions must be accurately diagnosed and then properly treated, to insure the achievement of long term recovery.

On-Site Detox Programs

Malibu Horizon offers a safe, comfortable, on-site detoxification program for alcohol, opiates (using Suboxone), heroin and any prescription medications. Our detox process is closely monitored and carefully supervised 24 hours per day. State-of-the-art medications are given to relieve and manage the detox withdrawal symptoms.

Addiction Recovery Resource Center

Nothing has a more negative impact on the entire family than untreated alcohol or drug abuse...

Family Alcohol Statistics

  • Three out of ten adults report that drinking has been a cause
    of trouble in their family

  • 14 million Americans, 1 in every 13 adults-abuse alcohol
  • One in ten Americans currently has an alcohol problem
  • few of the more than 18 million U.S. alcohol abusers ever receive treatment
